Parkwood United F.C. are a communal football team that was originally founded in 2022, under the name Parkwood Sync F.C., by a group of friends who just wanted to get outside and play football more often. However, after playing just 1 game in 2023, a 10-7 victory over Cuxton Youth, the idea of the club faded out and 'The Sync' laid to rest.

Fast forward to 2025, and the club was reborn as Parkwood United F.C., this time with a purpose and a goal. The name change from Sync to United was prompted by our goal of bringing a sporting identity to Parkwood, uniting a community. Our main goal of the football club however is to create a community and a social hub, giving players of all abilities the chance to play competitve but friendly football.

We played our first game in March 2026, where we travelled to South East London on a Wednesday night to face The Peoples FC. It ended in a 9-2 defeat, but we could hold our heads high. Turning up with a bare 11, facing a well established team, with a strong following in the stands, and even keeping it at 2-2 for 60 minutes despite injuries and lack of players. That was a day to be proud of in the history of PUFC and just the beginning of our story.
