Two Summer Games Confirmed for The Wood

The club are delighted to announce we have 2 fixtures scheduled to take place this summer, with games scheduled for July and August.

The Wood first take on Cliffe-at-Hoo Athletic on Sunday 19th July, at 2pm, at Victory Academy in Chatham. This fixture will mark our first ever "home" fixture, and the first time Parkwood kick a ball in our home area of Medway.

Cliffe finished bottom of the Medway Area Sunday League Division 4 last season, registering just 1 win in 20 league games, that being a 5-4 win over Invicta All Stars. With a rebuild coming this summer, they will prove to be a tough test in our first home game.

Following that game, we head back to Victory Academy as we host Norton Sports on Sunday 2nd August, once again kicking off at 2pm.

Norton, based just outside Teynham, finished 6th of 7 in the Sheppey Sunday League Division 1 last season, with 4 wins and 3 draws from 14. Now moving over to compete in the Medway League, they will be looking to secure promotion from the second division next season.

Two exciting fixtures, and we hope as many of you as possible can come down to Chatham to support the Wood in our opening home games this summer!
